Hi beautiful ladies,
Today we will talk about SHOES! We all love them – if we are blue or feeling great, buying shoes sure make us feel better and more beautiful. Just like Christian Louboutin once said: “Shoes transform your body language and attitude. They lift you physically and emotionally”.
I, just like Carrie Bradshaw, have “this little substence abuse problem: Expensive footwear”. I don’t go buying shoes every other day, but when I do, I invest some good money in it. My mom always say, if you need something, then you should buy quality – and she is right! Not only because quality lasts longer than quantity, but also because cheap fashion can be very toxic for us and the enviroment!
According to Myriam Fallon (Greenpeace’s Media Officer), “Many chemicals that are used in the dying and processing of fabrics can become hormone disrupting and even cancer causing when they break down in nature”. Also, what many people don’t know ist that the largest pores found in our body are, among others, on the bottom of our feet. It pretty much means that your feet can absorb many toxins that will end up into your cells and blood stream. Those toxins can also cause bad allergies and even skin burn.
Back to the good shoes. Before investing money in pretty shoes you will never wear again, make sure to think about things like:
If you can’t walk in them, don’t buy them: I have done it and who has never done it throw the first stone… But seriously, limping around in Heels is absolutely ungraceful!
Choose the proper footwear: Open sandals and office suits, flats and cocktail frocks – no, they don’t go well! Sure, it is fine to try different looks but if you are not sure about your outfit, black pumps go right with almost everything!
No Stilletos whilst going outdoors: Imagine your beautiful stilletos sinking in the ground – NO WAY! If you need something comfy, then keep the flats on but if you want height, take the wedges. I hope you liked this post, now it is time to put some shoes on and get going! 😉
