When packing for vacations you realise that travelling and looking fancy doesn’t always go together – at least it is not always the number one priority. I love travelling and, as you know, fashion is my passion so it is not easy for me to take off my high heels and put on something more “comfy-casual” – especially when you are not super tall!
Anyways, packing more comfy-casual outfits doesn’t exactly mean that you can’t have a cool travel style. The key for feeling good even though you are not all put-together is to keep it functional and fresh, preserving your personal style. I always get inspired by the chicest travelers a.k.a celebrities – I just try to see what they are wearing while on the go and what fits to my personal style.
These tips I got for you will work, it doesn’t matter if you are taking a domestic or an international flight or if you are driving by car or train to a destination not too far away:
Clean and Chic
This outfit is all about the coat as an statement. It goes as a realy basic style, the kind of “travel ready”: a nice pair of jeans and a basic white tee, and then you have this amazing coat.
Give somo attention to your shoes and your bag. Here I prefer a pair of practical flats other heels. This amazing yellow-goldish bag also is an eyecatcher. Cause you know, if you are keeping your style simple, you can add some amazing accessories to it – they will add a lot more fun!
Elegant Lady
This style was completly inspired by Marilyn Monroe – I just added some modern touches to it.
Marilyn would for sure go with a perfectly fitted dress, an awesome pairs of heels and an amazing coat, right? This was in the 50’s, now comes the 21st century version: Here you have the classic look with supercute tube skirt, a casual tshirt, an amazing bag and beautiful but still comfy flats… and of course, a trenchcoat ( a piece all of us should have!).
Sporty but Rock
YES! You can wear sweats and still look good (just don’t do it every day!). Especially if you are flying to a far away destination, you have to be sure to wear something you will feel good on.
As long as I’m adding some nice style to it, I see no problem in wearing sweats. So my advice; add a nice faux leather jacket, a tee and a nice sneaker to your outfit. Try a backpack other than a maxi bag… and Rock’n’Roll!
Flirty Beauty
So my last outfit is for those who love wearing dresses!
This is a beautiful Spring-Summer dress that you can wear to go anywhere: to take your flight or to walk on the city you are visiting or on the beach watching the sunset.
I always take a jacket, a coat or a cardigan with me – it depends the occasion and season but always remember that it can get cold in the airplane. A cardigan don’t take a lot of space and you can carry easily – but it also fits perfectly to this outfit, don’t you think?!
