Choupette: Karl Lagerfeld’s kitty lands cosmetics Campaign

Who doesn’t love this little ball of fur? Exactly, that’s why Choupette is taking over the world!

This kitty is not only the muse of Karl Lagerfeld, who even dedicated an entire collection of his own brand to his favourite feline, but now she is going to be the face and muse of beauty brand Shu Uemura’s collection “Shupette by Karl Lagerfeld”. The collection is going to consist of 17 products, including  make-up, cleasing oil and furry lashes.

Lagerfeld’s friend and favourite model Baptiste Giabiconi asked KL to take care of Choupette during Christmas in 2011 but the designer refused to give her back.  In an interview he once said: “I thought she was too cute. She is like a kept woman. She has a strong personality. She has lunch and dinner with me on the table, with her own food”.

Once asked about her meals by Harper’s Bazaar, Lagerfeld said: “Her dish are by Goyard. She has one for water, one for her little croquette, and one for her pâté. You have to serve everything, and she makes a choice”. She is a real Diva, isn’t she?

Some say that Choupette is more famous than her “daddy” – Chanel and Fendi designer. If it’s true I don’t know, but it’s so amusing to follow her accomplishments and various comments on fashion fauxpaw. She has more than 37,000 followers on Twitter and more than 16,000 on Instagram.
