Balmain For H&M

Balmain‘s creative director, Olivier Rousteing,  has confirmed that a Balmain Collection for H&M will be launched worldwide on the 5th November of 2015. The designer announced the collaboration at the Billboard Music Award in Vegas with the support of Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn.

“I want to talk to my generation − this is my main aim as a designer. H&M allows me the unique possibility of bringing everyone into the world of Balmain, getting a piece of the dream and creating a global #HMBalmaination: a movement of togetherness, fuelled on a hashtag. The collaboration felt extremely natural to me as H&M is a brand that everybody connects to. It calls for unity, and I am all for it.” Olivier Rousteing

Olivier Rousteing has been building excitement for his latest venture on Instagram, posting short videos and photos with the hashtag #HMBALMAINNATION:

And H&M might be going crazy with joy for having got Balmain to accept this cooperation:

No word yet concerning the price, but it won’t come cheap. As you know, Balmain is known for amazing ornate embellishments with gold, silver, real perls etc. Although I am sure that H&M is not up to investing in these pricey and precious materials, the work required to apply any embellishments alla Balmain won’t be cheap anyway.

Mr. Rousteig is join the team of big fashion designers, who have already invested on a H&M collection, such as Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Donatella Versace and Alexander Wang.

Look forward to this collection, which we hope will mirror the Balmain sexy and edgy style – it will include a male and female collection and you will find it in any H&M store on November 5!
