I’m Elle, a twenty something student of Business Administration and Economics with a passion for blogging, fashion and style. And this is our place to share new ideas on fashion and beauty, current trends and how to be stylish while being yourself.
I live by the principle: “Keep your heels, head and standards high!” and I believe that style is an extension of ones personality and shows what kind of mood we are in, while fashion is a constant evolution that basically means knowing who you are, what you like and what suits you best.
So feel free to join me!
Love, Elle
More about Elle:
Why did you start blogging? I have been blogging on and off for the past 7 years but on other different blogs. In 2014 I have decided to start LRTW as a form of expression; expression of style, responsible fashion, beauty and lifestyle. In my blog you get to learn more about who I am, what I like, the things I do, makeup tips, even take a look at my home, you will get fashion advices and find out trends and best deals.
Who has impacted you most in blogging and how? If I had to choose two people who have impacted my blogging the most, I would say Chiara Ferragni and Olivia Palermo, because you can see the love and dedication that they give to their work, all the new styles that they get to wear before us all and they travel for a living… who wouldn’t love that?
What was the most challenging moment in your blogging journey so far? I think it is leaning the “behind the scenes”, everything about SEO, redesigning the blog, adding new ideas and giving up projects that you have believed in. Blogging can be a roller coaster, especially if you are a student full-time and have to deal with school stress and writer’s block. However, we also grow from all that and that is what life is about.
What do you find the most frustrating aspect of blogging? I guess it would be how people often don’t realise how much work you put into your blog – research, planning sceneries for photos, sharing on social media, etc – and finding time to write between school, sport, friends and dates. Sometimes I feel that 24 hours is not enough for me but blogging has become such an important part of me and I know that there are so many readers interested in knowing what I have to say that I always try to find some time.
In the future where do you hope your blog will take you? I have big plans for the blog, changing most part of it in 2016. But mainly I hope that with these changes I will reach more readers and get more interaction. We will see!
How active are you on a weekly basis? How often do you communicate with your followers? I try to blog as often as I can. I don’t really have a schedule. Sometimes it may mean 3-5 times a week, other times I will blog once or twice a week – it depends on how my school schedule is.
What is your favourite quote? “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” – Lao Tzu. It remembers me that our greatest weakness lies in giving up and that to succeed in something we have to go the whole way through, one step at a time and it brings you always one step closer to reaching your go in life.
Who was your first style icon? I love old movies, my heart is stuck in the 50’s although I was born 40 years later. So my first style icon had to be a 50’s movie star and for me there is no other like Audrey Hepburn. I love her classic, simple and eternal style.
What would you say that is the biggest challenge about fashion/beauty blogging? Growing a community and always have interesting topics and ideas to the readers.
One word that describe your style: I would say that my style is classic with a twist. I love clean lines and classic shapes incorporating quirky details with colours or a fun modern piece and amazing shoes.
XOXO
